A hybrid inverter manages energy from solar panels, batteries, the grid and connected loads, allowing power to be stored, used or exported according to the selected operating strategy.
Compatible configurations can support on-grid, off-grid or switching operation when the correct inverter, bypass or STS equipment and system controls are selected.
A modular design allows the medium energy storage system to be scalable. You can start with a base configuration and easily expand the battery capacity as your business's energy needs grow, protecting your initial investment.
The system includes an advanced Energy Management System (EMS) that enables features like peak shaving (to reduce demand charges), time-of-use optimization (charging when energy is cheap and discharging when it's expensive), and remote monitoring and control.
AC coupling is ideal for retrofitting because it doesn't interfere with the existing solar PV system. Businesses can add a battery storage system without replacing their current solar inverters, making the upgrade simpler, faster, and more cost-effective.
An AC-coupled system like the one described separates the solar inverter and the battery inverter. The existing or new solar array connects to its own inverter, while the battery has a dedicated bi-directional inverter. This allows the battery to independently charge from either the solar panels or the grid, offering maximum flexibility.
Medium energy storage systems are scalable battery solutions designed for the energy needs of commercial and industrial (C&I) facilities. They help businesses reduce electricity costs through peak shaving, increase energy independence by storing solar power, and provide backup power during outages.
Commercial battery storage systems are designed to intelligently manage energy flow. They can store excess solar energy generated during the day and discharge it during periods of high grid demand (peak hours) when electricity rates are highest. This significantly reduces costly demand charges, which are a major portion of a business's electricity bill.
